Carmen House Christian Study Center

Aaron Badenhop, Spiritual Theologian in Residence at Hope, has helped launch Carmen House Christian Study Center — an independent non-profit on the doorstep of Ohio State.

Its mission is to welcome the OSU community to explore the wisdom of Jesus Christ for academic life and human flourishing. In sync with Hope’s values as a church, Carmen House creates a space where students, faculty, and the broader community can experience hospitality while learning to integrate faith with all of life.

Hope exists to extend the welcome of Jesus across Columbus — and that includes the campus. Carmen House is one expression of that calling: a study center where thoughtful conversation, Scripture, and community meet the questions people bring from classrooms, labs, and everyday life at the university.

Though Carmen House is an independent organization, much of Aaron’s work there complements Hope’s own ministry on and around campus. We are grateful for this partnership and for the way it helps more people in Columbus encounter the hope that can only be found in Jesus.
