GOSH Enterprises Building-Lecture Hall

An EPC SEMINAR designed to equip HOPE to take risks & faithfully participate in Go'd mision in our locale.

"It is not so much the case that God has a mission for his church in the world, as that God has a church for his mission in the world. Mission was not made for the church; the church was made for mission – God’s mission" (Christopher Wright). This is the heartbeat of Hope, and a key reason for our denominational realignment. Well, the EPC wants to serve us immediately by sending a few delegates from their church health committee to help us assess how we are doing in this area. And equip us to take risks and faithfully participate in God's mission in our locale. We truly want all of you to attend! 1-5pm, snacks and drinks provided."

OSU Student Sunday - Sunday, November 12th
OSU Student Sunday - March 26th

  • OSU student musicians will help lead Hope in worship
  • We’ll hear how God has been at work in the lives of some students
  • Catered lunch after church for all OSU students

At Hope, one of our stated values involves honoring our geography. As we gather Sundays at the 4-H Center next door to the Schott, one of Hope’s values is the intersection of church and OSU campus, recognizing the significant influence of the campus in the Columbus area.

At Hope, we envision a future where a surprising number of people on campus and in our city, have a surprising encounter with Hope. Not just our church, but with the hope of the gospel.

  • We desire to help however we can to see students’ lives changed by Jesus.
  • We desire to help Christian college students to have a multi-generational church family.
  • We desire for students to rub shoulders with Hope Church members who are OSU professors and working professionals in many fields of work in the city.
  • We desire that students staying in Columbus after graduation would already have a Christian community like Hope to support them in their transition.

Because of this vision, Hope is gladly a church partner with CRU at OSU, desiring to compliment a ministry through which God has already long been at work on campus.
If you’re an OSU student no matter where you are on your faith journey, come check out Hope on November 12th.

ALPHA YOUTH- SENIOR HIGH

Senior High will meet this Sunday night at 6pm @ the Piehl home (5364 Amy Lane, 43235). Dinner is provided!

FAMILY GAME NIGHT & POTLUCK

Join us at the Gosh Enterprises building (5000 Arlington Centre Blvd, 43220) Saturday, Nov 18th for a family game night and potluck dinner!  Come and go anytime between 5p-8p; bring a dish to share and your favorite card or board games!
Any questions, contact Rachel Longo at rachel.anne.longo@gmail.com.

UPDATE: CONGREGATIONAL VOTE

On Sunday (10/29) the members of Hope voted (45-3-1) to withdraw from the Presbyterian Church in America and subsequently seek membership in the Evangelical Presbyterian Church. This vote is in one sense a finish line: it marks the end of a long discernment season. But this vote is also a starting line: it marks the beginning of something new! We will be working with both denominations in the coming months to formalize this vote; and we will keep you updated along the way. But today we celebrate God's kindness to us during this process - and we submit our future to Him.

Hope’s prayer ministry provides us with opportunities to share prayer requests, to pray on behalf of others, and to praise God as he hears and answers our prayers.  We encourage you to share prayer concerns and requests (if involving another person, with that person’s permission) so that others can join you in prayer and praise.  Please join our prayer ministry by sending an email to
prayerandpraise@hopechurchcolumbus.org
so that you can be included in our distribution list.  Your participation will be confidential.
